#habitat3 #qycforNUA #H3Youth

We’d like to invite you to a forum about housing & youth on 19th, 09h00 at FAU2. We are sure that it will be informative and interactive. Join us and let us share your ideas!

Every country in the world has people who face problems and disadvantages in housing issues.
Every country in the world has young people who face problems when they enter the ‘real world’ and begin their lives as citizens.

In South Korea, these two issues are combined into one major issue: youth facing housing problems. Various structural and social problems in Korea block youth from the right to the city and realization of inclusive city. And we know this is not only Korea’s problem – it’s happening worldwide. That’s why we want to invite you and discuss about this issue!

Rental housing fee is way too expensive for people who just started their jobs, a lot of places don’t have adequate conditions – no light, no ventilation, etc. Minsnail Union is a civil organization which tackles these problems that South Korean youth face, with innovative approaches including social housing and housing cooperative.

In this event, we are going to share housing problems in South Korea and Myanmar. And we want to listen your stories about how the housing problem is like in your society.
Also, we are sharing our stories tackling this issue: how we came up with new ideas, the challenges we had to face when we were initiating the projects, and how it is going at this moment. Many of our projects have been highlighted in numerous media as real-changing and innovative solutions, and we are sure you will be very interested in our stories! We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas about solving youth housing issue.

We also have very interesting speakers with experience who are from Taiwan and Myanmar. We are going to utilize various facilitation methods which will make our event more interactive and productive. English, Spanish, Korean provided. Join our session, get informed about what’s happening in South Korea and Myanmar, and share your ideas and stories. We will be really looking forward to seeing you!

The event is taking place in FAU2, but the specific room number will be provided on the day of the forum, in front of the building. If you have any questions, please contact this email.
